Ellandi completes 13 deals at Yate shopping centre in 2017.
Ellandi was appointed as asset manager by the centre’s owner in January 2016, with a brief to asset manage the town centre site as the extension of the leisure scheme was being completed.
Over the last 18 months, there has been a marked increase in interest from retailers, the result of an active asset management strategy. The outcome has seen eight new retailers join the scheme in 2017 including the Entertainer, Bolero Lounge, Papa Johns, Yours Clothing and Esquires Coffee.
A further five incumbent retailers including Iceland, Ryman, Thomas Cook and Select have committed to taking long term space within the centre by renewing their leases.
Asset manager Simon Anderson explained: “Contrary to national reporting, the Yate town centre saw vacancy rates fall with a large amount of space let to key national retailers. In addition to this, many incumbent tenants have committed for the long term which highlights strong trading conditions and sustainable rents.
“We are progressing a number of other opportunities and look forward to reporting a number of new occupiers in the coming months.”
