Railpen, one of the largest pension managers in the UK, has announced the upsize of Skechers, the athletic footwear brand, at Caledonia Park designer outlet village. Skechers has increased the size of its store by over 1,000sq ft in a move that illustrates the strong and successful performance seen by leading international brands at the destination.
Increasing its size to 3,300sq ft, Skechers’ larger store boasts an enhanced and diversified product line up, with further footwear selections on offer as well as apparel and accessories.
The upsize of Skechers emphasises the strong performance and success seen by major retail brands at Caledonia Park and highlights the continual growth of the destination following its successful £10m refurbishment. Skechers’ upsized store sits alongside a strong roster of retail brands, including POLO Ralph Lauren, Nike, adidas, BOSS, Kate Spade New York, Radley, Superdry and Levi’s.
Maria Averkina, asset and development manager at Railpen, said: “The upsize of Skechers demonstrates that leading names in the industry are enjoying continual success at Caledonia Park, and are choosing to be bigger and better, while understanding the significance of outlets to consumers who are seeking the ideal combination of variety, value and experience. Skechers’ elevated and compelling new offer enhances the destination for the customers, and we are looking forward to what opportunities this will present in the future for other retailers at Caledonia Park.”
Skechers’ upsize at Caledonia Park complements the destination’s comprehensive and ever evolving tenant mix, with the recent signings of Starbucks and Burger King, which are set to open in early 2023, and the successful arrival of Cornish Bakery, the independent bakery brand, which has experienced impressive trading results since its opening in September.
