Livingston Designer Outlet, Scotland’s largest outlet shopping destination, has marked a record-breaking 2024, celebrating its highest annual sales to date.
Across the year, sales across all categories saw significant growth, with Outdoor and Catering emerging as top-performing categories, recording impressive increases in sales by +35% and +14% respectively.
High-performing brands such as The North Face, Nike, New Balance and Le Creuset contributed to this growth, while the Outlet also opened several new stores throughout the year, showcasing the demand for in -tore shopping.
December stood out as the Outlet’s biggest December since its inception, solidifying its position as a leading retail destination. December 27 was the second highest footfall day of the year, with sales on the day increasing by +9% YOY.
INicky Lovell, head of outlets and business development at Global Mutual, said it’s evident from these results that shoppers are continuing to seek designer brands at more affordable prices, highlighting why the outlet business model is continuing to thrive. “Livingston Designer Outlet remains focussed on enhancing its vast range of retail stores to continue delivering an exceptional shopping experience for all its customers.”
