Joules & Hotel Chocolat join line up at Eastgate, Inverness
Joules has agreed a new 10-year lease for a 2,368-sq ft (store, while Hotel Chocolat will occupy a newly created 625-sq ft unit on a five-year lease. The deals follow a recent letting to Royal Bank of Scotland, which has now opened a new 4,000-sq ft branch at the centre, and the relocation of existing tenant Fat Face to a larger 2,989-sq ft store. RBS and Fat Face have both signed new 10-year leases.
Numerous other retailers including New Look, Boots, Claire’s Accessories, Ernest Jones and Phase Eight have recently renewed their leases at the centre, which offers more than 350,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space with an annual footfall of approximately 9 million.
Mark Hewett of Scoop Asset Management, asset manager to Eastgate Unit Trust, said: “Eastgate shopping centre has a very loyal and affluent local catchment and also attracts a large number of tourists thanks to its proximity to Loch Ness. The new lettings to such high-quality brands are testament to the ongoing success of the scheme.”
