The Arcades in Ashton-under-Lyne to welcome a trio of new retailers
Barclays Bank, The Fragrance Shop and Eurochange have all taken 10-year leases in the centre to boost its already strong mix of tenants including Next, New Look, Foot Locker, JD Sports and Wilko.
Ashton’s only covered shopping centre provides 140,000 sq ft of retail space across two levels. Barclays Bank will take a 2,453-sq ft unit that was formerly let to Clinton’s Cards with The Fragrance Shop taking 550 sq ft and Eurochange 272 sq ft.
Stuart Russell, director at Fairacre Property, said: “The positive regeneration of the town centre is being reflected in the Arcades attracting new tenants as well as retaining existing occupiers and we are delighted to have secured these three national tenants. We look forward to sharing more news over the coming months.”
