Lidl, Hobbycraft and Deichmann sign up for Berkshire retail park
BMO Commercial Property Trust Ltd has announced the completion of three new lettings to Lidl, Hobbycraft and Deichmann at Newbury Retail Park in Berkshire. These latest lettings follow recent opening of Mountain Warehouse and Starbucks stores.
Hobbycraft, the arts and crafts superstore retail chain, has opened a new 7,800 sq ft store in the former Poundworld unit on a 10 year lease. BCPT has also pre-let two-thirds of the former Homebase unit to supermarket chain Lidl, on a 25 year lease. In addition, Deichmann, the German footwear retailer, has contracted to take 6,000 sq ft of space, comprising half of the former Mothercare unit, on a 10 year lease.
Richard Kirby, director, property funds, at BMO Real Estate Partners said: “These new lettings, which further diversify the income profile of the retail park, are a clear reflection of the hard work undertaken by our team to enhance the defensive qualities of our assets.”
