Ealing Council looking for new uses
The London Borough of Ealing has instructed HRH Retail to market the former Acton Library in west London for a range of commercial uses, including retail and leisure.
The former library is an attractive Grade II listed building in a prominent location in Acton High Street. Mostly arranged over two floors, the property totals around 8,500 sq ft of modern space behind a listed façade.
Located on the junction of High Street and Winchester Street, it sits opposite the former Acton Town Hall (now converted to housing) and close to Acton Central Station, from where Crossrail services will run next year.
Tim Hance of HRH Retail says the attractive interior of Acton Library could accommodate a range of different uses (subject to planning) including retail, restaurants, cafés, leisure such as a gym or cinema and community facilities.
