Queensberry and Barnsley Council add to F&B mix at the Glass Works
Nando’s will be housed in the same block as Superbowl UK – a bowling, laser quest and soft play centre – as one of seven new restaurants as part of The Glass Works. The development will also include a new 13-screen Cineworld cinema.
The Glass Works is a £180m town centre regeneration funded by Barnsley Council. The first phase providing a refurbished Barnsley Market and a new state-of-the-art Library is now open while the Market Kitchen food hall will open this autumn.
The second phase with 26 new retail units and seven family-friendly restaurants, is now under construction and is on track for completion in 2021.
Jocelyn Holmes, senior leasing manager at Queensberry, said: “Sitting alongside Cineworld and Superbowl UK, you can really start to get a feel for how impactful the new leisure offer is going to be for the town and we’re sure families are very excited to start enjoying a day or evening out in the town centre.”
