Mark Allan, chief executive of Landsec commented on his appointment: “The property industry has a key role to play in creating a more productive and sustainable economy.
“By redefining the role of the landlord and by shaping a better future through environmental and social sustainability leadership we can drive better outcomes for the communities we are engaged with, for the stakeholders we are accountable to and for society at large.
“These are exciting times for us all, the pandemic has provided us with an opportunity to reset and ensure our industry has a defined, proactive and positive role to play in the success of the UK. It is the BPF’s role to galvanise us, to challenge us and to be the voice of our industry. I’m excited to get started.”
