    Surge in automotive pop-up stores this festive season as intu signs five global brands

    Customers heading to many of intu’s popular retail and leisure destinations over the festive period can add a new car to their Christmas shopping list as five global brands sign up to open their latest pop-up stores.

    Mini, Land Rover, Tesla, Toyota and Lexus will target thousands of customers visiting intu’s high footfall destinations including intu Metrocentre and intu Trafford Centre, as they showcase their latest models and provide customers with an interactive platform to engage with their brand.

    Customer experience director Roger Binks said: “Car brands are taking lessons from the retail industry and listening to what consumers want – and that’s an experience. By opening an automotive pop-up store within our centre, brands can offer everything from cars to play with and test, merchandise to buy, and brand specialists to talk to. As customers experience the brand they can add the latest car to their shopping list of beauty products, homeware and clothes. We’re in a great position to offer these global brands a huge platform to engage their target audience and reach thousands of customers, all under one roof.”
