£6.5m transformation for Langney shopping centre, Eastbourne.
Landlords Tyburn Lane and Vale Real Estate have launched a project that will include the creation of 13 new shops, a 24-hour gym, the complete resurfacing and an improved layout of the car park, plus additional living accommodation over the centre in Kingfisher Drive, Eastbourne.
The centre is already home to more than 30 brands including Poundland and Tesco Metro and is a hub for the local community. A new volunteer-run library will be opening its doors very soon.
Langney centre manager, Neil Avis, said: “We’re bucking the national trend by investing in our shopping centre and this investment will ensure we have much to offer our customers for years to come.”
Langney shopping centre first opened its doors in 1973 and is thought to be the first district shopping centre of its kind in the UK.
