Longmartin Properties Ltd has announced that Burmese restaurant, Lahpet, has opened in The Yards, Covent Garden at 21 Slingsby Place, marking the restaurant brand’s first site in the west end and its second in the UK.
The 2,500 sq ft unit is set over two floors seating 100 covers indoors, with a combination of booths and long sharing tables and 70 covers outdoors, spanning across the heated terrace and courtyard.
Dan Anton, co-founder of Lahpet, said: “We are delighted to have opened our second restaurant in the heart of London’s west end, The Yards. As one of London’s best dining hubs, the site has huge potential for the Lahpet brand, offering a hidden hub of tranquility whilst also benefitting from the high footfall of local London attractions.
“The continual investment by Longmartin Properties into the area has been instrumental in making this such an attractive location for us to open our second site and we’re extremely excited to have the opportunity to introduce more of the varied and vibrant food of Myanmar to London.”
Commenting on behalf of Longmartin Properties Ltd, Simon Taylor, property director at the Mercers’ Company added: “Lahpet adds another highly exciting addition to our varied selection of restaurants at The Yards which includes miscusi, Caffe Concerto and recently expanded Dishoom. It will provide a unique choice for customers and further strengthen The Yards’ credentials as one of London’s leading day-night destinations in the heart of the west end.”
