Danish retailer JYSK is set to open two new stores within the Greater Manchester region as part of its UK expansion plans.
The first of the two new stores will open will be on 10 June in Bury at Angouleme Retail Park followed by a store in Stockport at Manchester Road Retail Park on 8 July.
The two new openings are part of the Danish brand’s UK expansion plan which comes off the back of record results in the UK & Ireland during the financial year 2019/2020.
After hitting the exciting milestone of 3,000 stores worldwide in February 2021, the retailer set their next goal of 5000 stores worldwide. Part of JYSK’s expansion plan to have 26 stores in the UK by the end of their financial year.
“We are thrilled to be opening two stores in Greater Manchester to make our affordable and much-loved furniture even more accessible in the North,” says Jenny Johnston, JYSK Sales and Marketing Manager, UK & Ireland.
“Our head office operations are also based in Stockport, so we have a strong affinity for the area and continue to see it prosper. The Bury and Stockport stores will bring the affordable Scandi homewares and furniture that we are synonymous with to discerning and design-conscious shoppers of Greater Manchester who will be able to click and collect the same day, as well as explore exclusive in-store lines.”
