Specialist sports and fashion retailer JD has opened a premium store in Eastgate, Basildon.
JD signed a 10-year lease on a 7,929 sq ft unit which has been created from four units, two on the ground floor and two directly above on the mall’s first floor.
Fitness operator PureGym opened a 17,000 sq ft gym on Eastgate earlier in 2019 and designer childrenswear retailer Base moved to a larger unit.
Matthew Elgey, asset manager at Sovereign Centros said: “Eastgate is thriving at the heart of the busy town of Basildon, with the shopping centre a compelling attraction for families with children and for people of all ages drawn by its premier retailers and leisure operators.”
