Luxury dessert chain plans accelerated roll out
Heavenly Desserts, an upmarket café chain, has opened its first London store at International Quarter London, Lendlease and London & Continental Railways’ new £2.4bn development in Stratford.
The luxury dessert brand, which was founded in 2008, has 25 stores based predominantly in the Midlands and North and now plans to widen its coverage by opening 20 new branches a year.
The chain has retained HRH Retail to acquire new stores across London and the south of England, with locations in the pipeline in Brighton, Cambridge, Luton and Watford.
Director of Heavenly Desserts, Mohammed Imran, said: “Since the launch of our first café in 2008, we have grown to over 20 locations across the UK, and the Stratford store marks the first stage of our expansion across London. IQL embraces the best of East London’s culture, entertainment, and heritage – we can’t wait to become an established dessert hotspot in Stratford.”
HRH Retail partner Tim Hance commented: “Heavenly Desserts is tapping into the British consumer’s growing appetite for sweet treats, with dessert parlours now enjoying the same popularity as coffee shops. Within this sector, Heavenly Desserts is aiming to carve out its own niche with an emphasis on luxury and quality.”
