Hammerson has confirmed that it is in talks to sell its retail parks to Canadian private equity firm Brookfield.
According to The Times, Brookfield is set to pay approximately £350 million for Hammerson’s seven retail parks in Falkirk, Didcot, Middlesbrough, St Helens, Telford, Merthyr Tydfil and Rugby.
In its statement, Hammerson said at this time “there can be no certainty that a transaction will take place or the terms on which any transaction may occur.”
It added that it will provide a further update in due course, if appropriate.
