Edinburgh centre’s facelift is complete
After six months on site The Gyle Shopping Centre’s refurbishment has been completed within a £2.5m budgetEllandi was appointed in July 2017 to manage the 410,000 sqft shopping centre. The centre is located approximately 6.5 miles west of Edinburgh City Centre.
Ellandi’s project team led by Threesixty Architecture and Cushman & Wakefield produced the scheme which has given the mall a fresh new modern look including: updated mall entrances, furniture, bulkheads, branding, and signage; new lighting and living wall features; and an introduction of new high-level mall treatment and retailer branding.
Mark Hurst, asset management director says, “We are delighted with this significant investment in The Gyle, a direct result of which is a new 6,400 sq ft letting to JD Sports which has already opened and looks fantastic. The timescale we were required to work to was extremely challenging and it’s testament to the whole team that not only was the target met but also within budget”.
