Permission granted for multi-screen cinema in Wolverhampton
City councillors have green lit r plans to create a multiple screen cinema at the Wulfrun Shopping Centre in Wolverhampton.
The plans will see the layout of units 74-78 transform into a multiple screen auditorium, providing seating for 150 visitors with an additional 1850 sq ft developed for restaurant, food and leisure.
A representative from commercial property and investment company LCP, which owns and manages the shopping centre, said it is thrilled to receive the go-ahead for the new cinema and is now driving ahead with discussions with potential cinema operators to occupy the new leisure hub.
Andrew Barrett, retail director at Kingswinford-based LCP, said: “We’re pleased to have received positive support from within the community to further enhance the diverse offering within Wulfrun Shopping Centre and to bring a highly anticipated leisure hub to the heart of the city centre, which welcomes some nine million visitors each year.”
