Four fashion retailers to open new stores at Meadowhall, Sheffield
In the latest flurry of deals at Meadowhall, British Land has signed Lacoste for 1,700 sq ft on a 10-year lease. Whistles has signed for 990 sq ft on a five-year lease while the North Face is upsizing to 2,600 sq ft on a ten-year lease and Skopes is opening a 2,300-sq ft store on a ten-year lease.
These retailers will join the range of new brands that opened at the centre last year including Rock Up, G Star Raw, Air Haus, Therapie Clinic and Godiva. Last year also saw retailers including Waterstones, River Island, Primark and JD Sports expanded their presence at the centre.
Ben Grose, head of national leasing at British Land, said: “High-quality, well located retail space plays a crucial role in omni-channel retail, evident by the relationship between online traffic and opening a new store at Meadowhall. New brands, our events programme and the refurbishment have all ensured shoppers continue to visit and enjoy Meadowhall.”
British Land was advised by Smith Young and CBRE.
