British Land brings Everyman cinema to Broadgate
Everyman, the boutique cinema operator, has signed for a thrtee-screen cinema at British Land’s 1FA refurbishment at Broadgate – marking another significant step in the evolution of the Broadgate campus into a vibrant, mixed use neighbourhood for workers and visitors.
Everyman will take 11,000 sq ft across the ground and lower ground floors of the building and will open in 2019. Other recent signings at Broadgate include Eataly, the Italian marketplace, which has chosen 135 Bishopsgate to open its first UK location in 2020 and Inception Group, which will launch its first City bar, Mrs Fogg’s, in Broadgate Circle later this summer.
1FA is undergoing a major refurbishment to deliver 247,000 sq ft of new offices and 42,000 sq ft of space for the new Everyman Cinema, retail and restaurants.
Claire Barber, head of central London retail and Meadowhall for British Land, said: “Everyman is exactly the kind of brand that we’re looking to join us at Broadgate as we focus on the campus’ evolution into a vibrant, mixed use neighbourhood.”
