Turnstone and Aberdeen Standard sign Nando’s at Ely Leisure Village
Nando’s has signed for the last remaining unit at Ely Leisure Village, Cambridgeshire. The £15.7m development, which completed last year, is already home to Cineworld, Greene King, Arbuckles, Frankie & Benny’s, McDonalds, KFC, Costa, Chosen Bun and Pizza Hut. Nando’s has taken a 20-year lease on a 3,318 sq ft unit.
Ely Leisure Village comprises 49,000 sq ft of restaurant and leisure space, plus 380 car parking spaces. The scheme covers 6.5 acres by the A10 at Downham Road and was forward funded by Aberdeen Standard Investments.
Sandy Pringle, fund manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments said: “Securing such a well-known, international brand like Nando’s as the final tenant at Ely Leisure Village, is testament to the strength and appeal of the scheme. They join a strong line up of other leading international and national brands, helping to cement the Village’s position as an outstanding leisure facility for the local area.”
Carter Jonas and Wareing & Partners advised Turnstone Estates.
