Astle Retail Park in West Bromwich is fully let for the first time in three years after a nationwide food and beverage clearance store signed up for the last unit.
Oops!, which stocks frozen, chilled and dry goods bought from manufacturers that supply foods for leading restaurant and retail chains, is opening its eighth store – and its first in the West Midlands – after agreeing a five-year lease.
This is the third site that LCP, which owns and manages Astle Retail Park, has brought the retailer to.
Oops!, which repackages the stock and sells at significantly reduced prices to customers, also has outlets at LCP retail parks in Kingston, near Hull, and Durham.
Fit out has already begun on the 5,977 sq ft unit and it is expected to open this Thursday (December 9).
Barry Flint, asset manager at LCP, said: “We can see that confidence is returning to the retail sector and it is great news for local shoppers that we have attracted Oops! to Astle Retail Park, bringing another nationwide name to the centre and completing an impressive range of retailers at the site.”
Astle Retail Park comprises 18 units, with tenants including Marks & Spencer, William Hill, B&M, Mecca Bingo and We Buy Any Car.
