Planning permission has been granted for the Axiom shopping centre in Castleford
Lateral Property Group and the Highgrove Group have been granted planning consent by Wakefield Council ‘s planning committee for 75 retail, restaurant and leisure units, along with a 10,245-capacity community stadium for the Castleford Tigers, set within a 27.9-acre country park.
Pre-lettings have already been secured with retailers including M&S, Next and Primark and a total of 2,746 parking spaces will be provided for the shopping centre units, with a further 237 spaces for the stadium.
