Property and asset management specialist, ESTAMA UK with the assistance of local managers Frazer Kidd, has completed the successful sale of Castle Mall Shopping Centre in Antrim on behalf of a private investor, following its success in achieving authorisation for the construction of 50 residential units as part of the site’s redevelopment.
Throughout the planning process, ESTAMA UK has designed the layout of the site to amplify Castle Mall’s community-led position as a key shopping destination.
The addition of new homes, as part of Social Housing Development, aims to blend with the retail offering featuring a new foodstore to benefit both residents and visitors.
The local developer who purchased the site will carry out the works laid out in the plans secured by ESTAMA UK which respond to the specific needs of the location.
Eoin Conway, COO at ESTAMA UK said: “Our plans to repurpose Castle Mall Shopping Centre into a mixed-use destination are key to the centre’s long-term viability and reflect our vision to future-proof shopping destinations in the UK. The projected outcome of the plans is set to generate significant increases in the operating income of the centre and will ensure that Castle Mall remains a fixture within the Antrim community for years to come. The sale to a local developer will serve to fulfil the construction of 50 new homes alongside a revitalised shopping centre.”
