Lakeside Shopping Centre is set to present the ‘Re:style Studio’ autumn/winter styling event, a free-to-attend two-day celebration of fashion and styling which will take place on Saturday and Sunday 12-13 October.
This event will showcase a variety of workshops from colour matching to how to dress for your body shape and opportunities to put upcycling into action.
Shoppers will have the chance to observe fashion and celebrity stylist, Ellis Ranson, who will be available to help shoppers address their personal style challenges and prepare their wardrobes for the upcoming season.
There will also be an opportunity to experience slow fashion designer Lydia Bolton who will be offering free workshops to help customers make more ethical wardrobe choices and lead interactive upcycling workshops where attendees can participate in a patchwork session to breathe new life into an old garment or can try creating a unique bag charm. Lydia’s workshops offer a chance to work with her personally and learn the art of reusing old clothing. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own garments.
Sustainable podcaster, Bianca Foley, will be educating the audience on topics ranging from autumn/winter trends to building a capsule wardrobe as well as hosting a discussion with Lydia Bolton, where they will be sharing insights including how to discover hidden gems that might already be in your wardrobe.
In addition to these workshops, the Re:style Studio will feature mood boarding drop-in sessions, allowing visitors to create their ideal wardrobe using curated materials. One lucky participant will win a £250 shopping spree at Lakeside. Shoppers will also be able to personalise their old t-shirts with custom slogans or can opt for blank canvas make-up bags and branded tote bags for a small donation which will go towards Lakeside’s Charity Partner of the Year, The South Essex Wildlife Hospital.
Howard Oldstein, centre director at Lakeside Shopping Centre commented: “Lakeside Shopping Centre is thrilled to offer an event that combines a celebration of the latest autumn/winter fashion trends. Re:style Studio is more than just a fashion event, it’s an opportunity for shoppers to reinvigorate their wardrobe.”
