A vintage pink VW Beetle is currently parked in Glasgow’s Silverburn to celebrate the release of the Barbie movie.
Guests can get behind the wheel to create the perfect selfie. And they can add a little more ‘Kenergy’ to their shot with a selection of curated props, which will be available for a limited time only.
A bespoke selfie station will encourage guests to snap and share on social media, telling Silverburn which Barbie they would like to be for the chance to win four tickets to see the movie at Cineworld Silverburn.
In addition, the Silverburn façade has also had the Barbie treatment.
The pink selfie station adds to Silverburn’s summer line-up of fun activity for all of the family alongside recently opened Flamingo Beach. Located in the main atrium, Flamingo Beach is open daily from 11am until 5pm with all proceeds going to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (GCHC). The charity also have a pop-up shop selling kids summer clothing and themed merchandise to raise funds for young patients and their families.
David Pierotti, general manager of Silverburn, said: “We are excited to introduce the vintage VW Beetle and pink selfie station to our guests, in celebration of the new Barbie movie, offering an iconic experience that is accessible to all.
“The recent success of Flamingo Beach reflects how receptive the public are to Silverburn’s summer initiatives for all of the family, and we will continue to offer engaging activities to ensure adults and kids alike are entertained over the school holidays.
“We can’t wait to see our guests enjoying the pink selfie station alongside Silverburn’s extensive and thoughtful family focused activations this summer.”
