LCP Properties Ltd has applied to Walsall Council for planning permission for a paintball company to use the vacant upper floors of Park Place Shopping Centre. The application is for change of use of the upper floors of the Centre for indoor paint balling.
The company has agreed to lease the space to Airsoft, a company that originated in Japan in the early 1980s, LCP said that Airsoft would be operational on weekdays between 5pm and 11pm and weekends from 9am-7pm. There would be a maximum of 50 players per event and there would be six staff members.
There would be no alterations either internally or externally to the premises LCP describes it as an ‘ideal layout for the proposed use’.
The upper floors have been vacant since November 2022.
Walsall Council is expected to make a decision on the proposal in April.
