Eldon Square in Newcastle has announced that Flight Club, the global cocktail bar and social darts experience, is joining the centre’s growing entertainment offering.
Set to open later this year, Flight Club will transform a 10,000sq ft space in Grey’s Quarter, with entrances both within Eldon Square and on Nelson Street, marking its first venue in the North East.
Further expanding its footprint as a renowned provider of interactive, leisure-led experiences, the new site is Flight Club’s 15th location in the UK. Since opening in Shoreditch in 2015, Flight Club has become renowned for its technology-driven social darts concept, where groups of up to 12 can enjoy immersive multi-player games tailored for all skill levels.
The new site’s proposed interior will reflect the brand’s signature style, creating a venue that will combine Flight Club’s bespoke fairground-inspired décor with an energetic atmosphere, destined to add extra buzz to Eldon Square’s vibrant atmosphere. Beyond darts, Flight Club’s appeal extends to its food and drink offerings.
Steve Moore, CEO and founder of Flight Club, said: “Bringing Flight Club to Newcastle has been a long-term ambition for us. It’s a city that’s notorious for epic nights out, so we couldn’t be more excited to become a part of that when we open. We pride ourselves on creating spectacular bars with buzzing atmospheres that bring groups of people together for moments of unexpected, ridiculous, joy. We can’t wait to show the North East what a Flight Club party looks like.”
Kitty Vaughan, head of UK leisure and F&B at Pradera Lateral, Eldon Square’s asset management team, said: “Welcoming Flight Club to Eldon Square will strengthen our dynamic mix of leisure options, further enhancing our reputation as the premier shopping and entertainment hub in Newcastle. Our entertainment offering is crucial to attracting visitors to Eldon Square and the addition of such a renowned, experience-led brand will ensure we continue to attract diverse audiences to the centre.”
