Asian dessert pioneer Honeymoon Desserts will open its first European flagship site at 33 Shaftesbury Avenue, London.
The new restaurant comprises 1,303sq ft, spread over ground and basement floors. Olly Eades, associate in Central London retail at Savills, said: “Shaftesbury Avenue provides the perfect location for Honeymoon Desserts’ first European site: just last month we saw tens of thousands of people flock to this vibrant destination in celebration of the Chinese New Year and international tourism in the West End has almost recovered to pre-pandemic levels. The new site will be an excellent springboard for its UK expansion, as it looks to strengthen its presence in this new market.”
Savills’ counter parts Four & Co acted for the outgoing tenant. Callum Mortimer, partner at Four & Co, added: “Honeymoon Desserts matches the demographics and customer profile on Shaftesbury Avenue, and I have no doubt they will be a success.”
