Popular grab-and-go Korean street food company Bunsik is set to launch a fourth London location at Westfield Stratford City this December. Located within the food court on the lower ground level and making use of the shared seating area, Bunsik’s next venture will be the first and only Korean restaurant within the shopping centre, filling a significant gap in the market.
Positioned next to household names Subway and Pizza Hut, Bunsik’s strategic presence within the shared seating area not only enhances accessibility but offers something new and diverse to Westfield Stratford City’s already varied culinary offering.
Bunsik will also introduce a range of vegetarian options to its menu, a first for this new Stratford site, including the debut of its first Veggie Burger.
This opening will be Bunsik’s fifth venue, following the success of the brand’s first venture out of London in Manchester this summer. Marking a significant milestone for the brand as it embarks on an ambitious journey of expansion and franchising. Bunsik owner, Maguro Group, renowned for its innovative culinary concepts, has chosen Bunsik as its first franchise endeavor, with a vision to open 20 Bunsik sites by the year 2026.
Director Jae Cho said: “Bunsik has been flourishing and we’re gearing up to launch it as a franchise next year. We recently opened our first site outside of London in Manchester, and its success has surpassed all expectations. We’re considering several UK cities for expansion, in addition to further locations within London. We have selected Bunsik for franchising due to its simplicity in menu offerings, an attractive price point, and its appeal to the younger generation. This next location for us within Westfield Stratford is an exciting one as we are trying a new food court model. We do so with great confidence; having this fantastic opportunity to partner with a global brand as well renowned as Westfield.”
