Cribbs Mall is gearing up for the festive shopping period with the arrival of two new temporary retailers at the centre. Local businesses 6 O’clock Gin and Goose & Gander have signed short-term leases to occupy two units at the centre.
Based in nearby Thornbury, 6 O’clock Gin has become a popular local brand thanks to its range of artisan gins, handcrafted in small batches, using traditional skills and the best natural ingredients. It will occupy a 554sq ft store which will feature its award-winning gins with flavours ranging from spiced orange & cranberry, to elderflower, mango, ginger and lime. Meanwhile, fellow South Gloucestershire brand Goose & Gander will take up space in an 800sq ft unit offering its range of unisex clothing including hoodies, fleeces, jumpers and t-shirts.
Alongside the two temporary retailers, Cribbs Mall has also welcomed homeware and stationery store Mooch, which has signed a five-year lease for a 2,286sq ft unit at the centre. Mooch will replace Paperchase and offer customers its selection of items including cards, candles, stationery, and gifts, as well as quirky home décor and accessories.
The arrival of Mooch follows a series of leasing activity which has taken place across Cribbs Mall which included a significant upsize for Phase Eight, which will be moving into a new 4,146sq ft unit after agreeing a five-year lease, meanwhile, Hobbs has also regeared for a further five years, as the centre approaches near full occupancy.
Cribbs Mall will be celebrating the holidays with a selection of festive activities. This year the centre will be home to Mog’s Christmas Trail, where the story will be brought to life through an interactive experience as visitors collect stamps at each of the playful stations around the centre. Also, on weekdays between the December 1-15, early years visitors can join Santa in his sitting room for story mornings, including the reading of Mog’s Christmas as well as other festive favourites. Then on the weekends Santa and his elves will provide entertainment throughout the day with festive parades, fun and games and even a Santa and The Festive Elves Show.
Scott Linard, portfolio director at M&G Real Estate, commented: “Our goal is to ensure Cribbs Mall is popular for all the family and this year’s Christmas plans are expected to attract visitors from across the region.
“It is also great to support local businesses by providing them with pop-up spaces for the festive period and offering them access to our wide customer base as they look to continue to grow their respective brands. We are also delighted to welcome Mooch as the latest long-term retailer to the centre. Their arrival, and the recent commitments by Phase Eight and Hobbs, ensures we continue to have a strong tenant mix at the centre and pushes Cribbs Mall closer to being 100% occupied.”
Time Retail Partners and Cushman & Wakefield are Cribbs Mall’s retained letting agents.
