Victoria Leeds, which is owned and operated by Redical, has announced the opening of Missoma, the responsibly made, contemporary demi-fine jewellery brand. The store, which opened on August 16, is Missoma’s second-ever permanent store and its first standalone space outside of London, following the opening of the Covent Garden store in November 2023.
Located in Victoria Quarter’s County Arcade with a footprint of 2,250sq ft, Missoma’s split-level flagship store features a mirrored ceiling, a giant animated screen, neon signage, a bespoke panelled checkerboard floor and a one-of-a-kind collage.
Missoma Leeds has also introduced its biggest Piercing Studio to date with exclusive piercing studs visitors won’t find anywhere else. Another experience available is the Welding Studio – much loved in Missoma’s Covent Garden space – with 14ct solid gold permanent bracelets and welding charms. The brand also offers free instant engraving for any gifts purchased in-store.
Rachel Bradburn, leasing director at Victoria Leeds, commented: “Missoma selecting Victoria Leeds as the destination for its first store outside of London reinforces our reputation as a renowned destination offering opportunities for brands to confidently embark on regional growth in the UK. We are excited to be a part of Missoma’s journey and to welcome customers through the door to explore exceptional demi-fine jewellery.”
Marisa Hordern, founder and creative director at Missoma, added: “Community is at the heart of what we do, and Victoria Leeds offers a highly engaging environment that aligns perfectly with our values. We aim to inspire confidence and encourage self-expression in all our customers and are excited to grow our Leeds community and embark on this next chapter.”
Missoma complements Victoria Leeds’ existing portfolio of leading jewellers, such as Boodles, Monica Vinader, Berry’s and Astrid & Miyu. The opening follows the announcement that British heritage and lifestyle brand, Barbour, is to open the city’s first standalone store in Victoria Quarter in August.
