Beauty brand Rituals has increased its presence at Manchester Arndale after signing a 10-year lease for a new 2,194sq ft store.
The new agreement will see Rituals relocate to New Cannon Street to a new store which will be double the size of its current space on the lower mall.
Rituals’ commitment to Manchester Arndale ensures the centre remains the go-to destination in the North West for the best cosmetic brands. Earlier this year the centre agreed a 10-year lease with leading UK retailer Space NK which will open later this year.
Annemarie Forsyth, managing director, Rituals Cosmetics (UK & Ireland), said: “We’re so excited to be relocating our store in Manchester Arndale which will be a larger size compared to the current store. Our consumers, who love and know the brand will be able to discover a greater variety of what Rituals has to offer to balance the body, mind or soul. The store will be filled with products designed to elevate and help you add something special to your everyday routine, and we can’t wait for you to visit us in our new location.”
Manchester Arndale remains the home of big name brands in the city centre which resulted in over 46 million people flocking to the retail destination last year. As well as leading cosmetic retailers, Manchester Arndale has also welcomed a host of fashion brands over the past few months with French Connection, Lounge Underwear, and Nike all opening new stores at the centre. Meanwhile, the centre has complemented its retail offering with several new F&B and leisure operators such as King Pins, Sides and HOP Vietnamese joining the line-up to ensure shoppers enjoy a full destination experience.
Asset managers Global Mutual and M&G Real Estate are close to agreeing new leases with several retailers over the last few remaining spaces at Manchester Arndale, as the centre edges closer to 100% occupancy.
Steve Gray, Head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, added: “It is great to see Rituals commit its long-term future to Manchester Arndale with a new larger store. It has proved to be a popular retailer with our shoppers and I’m sure their new store will attract even more when it opens later this year. The commitment of retailers such as Rituals highlights the belief they have in Manchester Arndale and is testament to our strong retail, leisure and F&B mix which allows us to attract visitors from across the North West and beyond. I look forward to sharing details of more new arrivals as we welcome further big name brands over the next few months.”
M&G Real Estate and Global Mutual act as joint asset managers of Manchester Arndale while Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are the centre’s retained letting agents, with Green & Partners retained lease advisory agents.
