Theatre group Chickenshed will be performing at Go Greek at The Brunswick on Thursday July 6 between 6pm and 10pm.
Chickenshed gained massive notoriety when they were semi-finalists in Britain’s Got Talent. They wowed the judges, leading Alesha Dixon to hit her ‘golden buzzer’ after she was moved to tears by their performance.
Chickenshed brings together people of all ages and from all backgrounds to produce theatre that entertains, inspires, challenges and informs both audiences and participants alike. Their mission is to create entertaining and outstanding theatre that celebrates diversity and inspires positive change.
Chickenshed will be performing alongside a host of Greek and Bulgarian artists including Christos Nikolopoulos, Ageliki Darra and Desi Slava.
Participating Brunswick eateries will be offering food al fresco from stalls outside their restaurants all for free while stocks last. These include Riding House Bloomsbury, Nando’s, Nostimo, Truedan, Hare & Tortoise, Pelican State, Slim Chickens, Leon, Tian Tian, Marisco and Torta, Starbucks and MEATliquor. There will also be free plays at Funland Amusement Arcade for a limited time. There is no need to book tickets to attend the event – people simply show up on the day and enjoy this free event.
John Themis, marketing manager for the Brunswick, said: “Our line-up for Go Greek was already incredible, but now with Chickenshed added to the line-up it has eclipsed all our expectations. They are inspirational and their performances shoot straight to the heart – I can’t wait for the public to see what they have in store first hand. This is going to be a very special event – our biggest and best ever that’s for sure!”
