Cornish Bakery has appointed Four & Co and Central Retail as its agents for property acquisition as it looks to open at least 15 outlets per year, with an ambition to reach over 100 UK locations. The two retail property experts have been retained to identify and acquire suitable properties in affluent market towns, cities and tourist destinations nationwide.
Four & Co, based in London, will focus on location opportunities in the south of the country, as far north as Birmingham, while Central Retail, based in Leeds, will concentrate on opportunities in the north.
During 2022 new bakeries were opened in Plymouth Barbican, Beverley, Stamford, Rye, Whitby and Caledonia Park, Scotland, and the company is set to open six new branches in Truro, Bakewell, Canterbury, Cheltenham, Harrogate and Bury St Edmunds in the coming months.
Cornish Bakery Founder Stephen Grocutt said: “Bakery is the new coffee shop is our mantra and our approach is achieving optimum levels of profit in our locations right across the UK. We are on a clear mission to find our next 50+ locations, hence the brief to both Central Retail and Four & Co, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing their results on our behalf.”
