Cain International, the privately held investment firm, has agreed two new leases with independents at its mixed-use Islington Square development. Between them, The Bottle Cocktail Shop and Treat Medispa will take 1,400sq ft in the north London destination as it continues to attract independent brands, with the retail and leisure space now approaching being 90% let.
A new concept from Homeboy, the award-winning brand behind cocktail bars in Islington and Battersea, The Bottle Cocktail Shop has taken a 714sq ft unit. Following the success of its online store and listings on Amazon, The Bottle Cocktail Shop will offer a mixed-use retail and F&B concept, led by its range of 10 bottled cocktails, with a focus on providing a first-class customer experience.
Meanwhile, following the resounding success of its debut salon in Islington Square, Treat Medispa, a specialist skincare beauty salon clinic, has re-located to a larger 671sq ft unit. Combining state-of-the-art technology with tried and tested techniques at reasonable cost, Treat Medispa provides an extensive range of treatments for body and facial aesthetic needs that are structured to deliver short- and long-term results.
Neil Barber, retail leasing director at Cain International, said: “These new lettings are the latest in a long line over the past 18 months for Islington Square, despite headwinds caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s a testament to our strategy of appealing to both the local demographic and visitors from further afield that brands like The Bottle Cocktail Shop, as well as New Meta, are launching their first physical spaces here and that those like Treat Medispa are upsizing. Innovative brands like Treat Medispa and The Bottle Cocktail Shop certainly provide our residents and visitors with something new and special, which is exactly what all our partners at Islington Square offer. Having already proven their popularity in Islington, we are delighted these independents will continue to grow their success with us.”
