Shopping centre and retail park fund investment and asset management specialist, Pradera Lateral, has appointed Russell Loveland as director of UK asset management. He will begin his new role later in the summer.
With over 25 years’ experience in retail property, Loveland brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as senior portfolio director at Landsec where he oversaw the company’s shopping centre, retail parks and leisure portfolio, including Westgate, Oxford and St David’s, Cardiff. Prior to this, he was a senior asset manager at Lend Lease where he was responsible for the asset management of Bluewater.
Pradera and its UK joint venture, Pradera Lateral, currently manage a retail property portfolio of more than £2.7bn, comprising 54 assets across Europe and the UK, including large shopping centres and retail parks in nine different countries.
Loveland commented: “I am excited to be joining Pradera Lateral during a period of growth for the business. Pradera Lateral has already made significant achievements since taking over the management of the Trafford Centre last year and I look forward to working with a dynamic team as we deliver further change to premium shopping and leisure destinations.”
Rhys Evans, managing director of asset management at Pradera Lateral, added: “We are delighted to welcome Russell to the team. He joins us at an exciting time for the business as we continue to expand our UK portfolio. Our first year in-situ at Trafford has already proven very successful, with more exciting announcements coming soon, and Russell’s depth of experience will further bolster our presence in the UK market.”
