Edmonton Green Shopping Centre has employed a new apprentice through the Government’s Kickstart scheme, as Daniel McFarlane joints the team as Marketing Apprentice.
McFarlane, 24 and based in Edmonton, completed his degree in Business and Events Management at the University of Hertfordshire and will begin to work alongside the team at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre and Ashdown Phillips, for six months on a 25-hour week contract.
Asset Director, Sabri Marsaoui at EGSC, who is a great advocate for the scheme, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Daniel to the team. Anyone that knows of us will know that our ethos is all about supporting our local community as much as possible. When we heard about the Government’s Kickstart Scheme we had to get involved. Providing a local young person with the tools to succeed later in life is something we are really passionate about.
“With the Kickstart scheme and working closely with Daniel, our aim is to help, support and guide him and equip him with the skills he needs to confidently secure a full-time permanent role in the future. We want to be a part of the solution and getting Britain back on track post the pandemic.”
