Commercial property owner, asset manager and developer Sorbon Estates has announced Katherine Croom as Managing Director.
Formerly Head of Asset Management at Edinburgh House Estates, Croom will be responsible for the overarching management of the Sorbon Estates property portfolio and teams, incorporating estates management, investments and projects and growing income.
Croom started out in the property world as an estate agent before beginning a graduate surveying programme with CBRE in retail development and leasing. She has been in the retail and leisure sector ever since.
She said of her appointment: “I am thrilled to be working with a company that not only invests in its locations but has a long-term vision. The variety of assets in the portfolio is fascinating and the innovative redevelopment work already underway in places like Maidenhead will make such a positive impact on the local community. I’m also excited about the opportunity to work collaboratively with both the residential and charity foundation arms of Shanly Group and becoming part of the company family.”
Croom takes over the role of MD from Tamra Booth who will remain at Sorbon Estates in a consultative capacity.
