The Mall Luton has launched ‘Luton Life’ – a podcast focussing on life within the Luton community.
The podcast will cover a number of topics surrounding everyday life in the town, finding out about those within the community who make others’ lives easier, safer and happier.
The podcast aims to provide a voice for the Luton community covered through question-and-answer sessions with local journalist Sophie Sulehria.
An industry first which has been fully curated and funded by The Mall, all podcast sessions will be available to listen to for free through Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The first episode focusses on The Mall’s Charity of The Year – Luton Foodbank.
Future editions will feature a focus on independent retailers, plus local charities and projects like Keech Hospice Care and the Big Trunk Trunk Trail, and Level Trust, all talking about their contribution to the town. Access to community services such as Luton Foodbank or Level Trust will be covered in an open and friendly way which those in need can benefit from.
Lavinia Douglass, Marketing Manager at The Mall Luton, commented: “We’re thrilled to announce we’ve launched Luton Life, a podcast that will attempt to drill down into the Luton community and focus on the daily trials and tribulations for local people and organisations. During what has been an extremely difficult time for everyone, the podcast allows us to lift the lid on Luton, delving into stories and acknowledging individuals and organisations who really make Luton the fantastic community it is today.

“We’re excited to announce the first podcast focuses on Luton Foodbank and the unsung heroes who work behind the scenes to provide thousands of food parcels to Luton residents every year.
