Lidl is to open a new store at The Mall shopping centre in Luton. The supermarket will be moving into the 20,000 sq ft unit previously occupied by Marks & Spencer.
The store will open within the next 18 months.
A Lidl spokesperson said: “We are delighted to confirm plans to open a new store in Luton, which marks another milestone in our ambitious store expansion programme. We’ve seen incredible demand for Lidl stores across the country and look forward to offering our quality products and incredible value to shoppers in and around the area.”
Roy Greening, general manager at The Mall, added: “We’re thrilled to announce Lidl will be arriving here at The Mall. The popular supermarket will complement our existing retail offering here at The Mall, alongside helping to drive footfall for other businesses across the town.”
