Administrators to close 12 stores after a failed attempt to sell
Beales’ administrators have confirmed that they are preparing to close a number of stores across the UK, following the department store’s collapse in January.
The stores to be closed are located in: Bournemouth, Hexham, Worthing, Tonbridge, Peterborough, Mansfield, Keighley, Perth, Spalding, Wisbech, Bedford and Yeovil.
Will Wright and Steve Absolom of KPMG were appointed as joint administrators following Beales’ collapse in January. There is currently no intention to implement closure plans for the remaining 11 stores.
