Edinburgh House Estates ends 2018 on a high at Clyde
Department store T J Hughes has opened a 50,000-sq ft unit at Edinburgh House’s Clyde shopping centre in Glasgow. The discount department store has taken space previously occupied by BHS.
In another new signing for the centre Cook & Indi’s World Buffet will be opening in the New Year. The rapidly expanding buffet chain will be taking a 5,023-sq ft unit next to existing tenant, Nando’s.#
During 2018 Edinburgh House has introduced Nando’s, Currie & Quirk Opticians, Mobile Tech Solutions and XOXO hairdressers, as well as upsizing Bodycare in the scheme. Senior asset manager Ross Campbell said: “We’ve been working really hard to ensure that we bring the right brands to the centre and building on our strong loyal catchment. We do a lot of research of what our shoppers want and TJ Hughes is what people wanted to see at the centre.”
Clyde Shopping Centre is a fully refurbished, modern, covered scheme located on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Located just eight miles from central Glasgow, the 775,000-sq ft mall is one of Greater Glasgow’s largest shopping centres, attracting 10 million visitors a year.
Savills acted for Edinburgh House Estates and Tienda acted for TJ Hughes.
