Three new retailers in the mix at Westway Cross shopping park, Greenford
Royal London Asset Management has secured deals which will see Lidl, Nando’s and Smyths Toys join the line up at Westway Cross shopping park in Greenford, West London.
Lidl has agreed a new 25-year lease for a 10,010-sq ft supermarket while Smyths Toys has taken a 16,210-sq ft store for a term of 15 years. Nando’s will open a new 3,638-sq ft restaurant on a 20-year lease.
Located off the A40, Westway Cross was refurbished and extended in recent years and offers 135,634 sq ft (of retail space across 18 units. Occupiers include Next, TK Maxx, Boots, JD, Sports Direct and an M&S Food Hall.
Yasin Sadiq, senior asset manager at Royal London, said: “These deals underline the fact that active asset management at Westway Cross shopping park is creating opportunities to strengthen the tenant mix despite the challenging retail climate. In particular, adding a restaurant operator such as Nando’s will increase visitor numbers and dwell time at the park.”
