Savills to launch new place-shaping and place-marketing service
Savills has announced plans to launch a new place-shaping and place-marketing service within its property management offer on 1 January 2019. Called Savills Place Shaping & Marketing, the service combine the firm’s existing CMS and POP Marketing businesses merge to create a 60-strong team based across its national network of offices.
CMS was acquired by Savills in April 2018 and specialises in transforming town and city centres into places people want to live and work. POP Marketing, launched by Savills in 2015, provides event management, PR, digital marketing, strategic marketing and social media advice to clients.
Paul Clement, director and head of place-shaping at Savills, said: “The role and meaning of place is changing in all built environments, from retail destinations to office developments, town centres and high streets. We define place as having a social element at its heart, creating an attachment, a desire to return and an urge to tell others about it. Savills Place Shaping & Marketing will help our clients create distinctive, engaging and enduring places with a focus on user experience.”
